Graphic

Here we have some work that I did involving more of a handmade feel. This a chance for me to play around with editing photos.

The first image is me painting directly over the top of a photograph to make it more dynamic. I thought that it turned out really cool. There was a sense of darkness in the original photograph that didn't really fit the model as a person. I decided to add some hot pinks and yellows to give the piece a kind of brevity that really fits Dennis.

The second image is a set of photoshopped rights free photographs. I was actually playing around with the idea of creating a 1970's feeling, handmade, movie poster. This poster brings me back to a better age of movies when everything was over the top and cliche. Too much action to be contained in one film. Seriously, just check out that guy with the scar. Awesome, in a word.

Thanks for reading.
Enjoy.

Digital Coloring

I've been doing some work on Digital Coloring lately.  I'd like to have some more time to sit down and work in Photoshop on smoother transitions.  As things stand I've gotten a couple of really neat looking results in Illustrator.  The use of both programs should be gold.  I'll probably set aside some time in the next couple of weeks to work on some nice digital painting.  More to come!

Enjoy.

Sketches.

I'm posting some sketches on here that I've done recently.  The are more studies in emotion than anything else.  Quick work.  I think I spent one to two hours on each of these pieces.  Still, there's something about the simplicity of the work that appeals to me.  All emotion, no complication.  Good times.  More to come!

Enjoy.
